How did you meet your spouse?
We met at a friend's birthday celebration almost ten years ago.
Tell us about your proposal
The proposal was very intimate, just us two. We were away for the weekend in Ocean Grove and he asked me to go for a walk at sunset and watch it go down (never asked me to do this in his life). We walked to an amazing vantage point and when I turned around he was on one knee.
Tell us about your wedding dress. How was your experience when you were searching for "The One"?
I had been to other boutiques and they say 'when you know you know' and I didn’t feel that way until I came to Sposa. I tried on the dress and my sister and I looked at each like 'this is the one'. I was happy, smiling, and already felt beautiful in it. That’s how I knew she was going to be mine on my special day.
Describe a favourite highlight or two from your wedding day.
There are so many. The whole day went so smoothly and not a single hiccup. A highlight would probably have to be the speeches. Everyone was stunned and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. It was pretty special to experience that kind of love from everyone in the same room. The second highlight would be seeing our vision come to life and all the planning finally come together.
Do you have any advice for couples currently planning their wedding?
Be organised! Start booking early and organising how you want your day. People thought I was crazy for being so organised, but in the lead up to the day I was so relaxed that people were worried.
I organised nothing three weeks out from the wedding as everything was done. All I had to do was pack for my honeymoon.
