How did you meet your spouse?
We met through a mutual friend, and although we had both grown up with her, we had never properly met before. She was interested in his best friend, and organised a camping trip to the Grampians to get to know him. They hit it off, and so did we. Now we're married and so are they!
Tell us about your proposal
He proposed to me in the Grampians, where we first met. It was a ridiculous 40 degree March day, and he was determined to go on a hike. I kept refusing, and he practically had to drag me the whole way to the top. We got to the lookout at sunset, and he proposed with the most gorgeous view behind us. The hike was definitely worth it!
Tell us about your wedding dress. How was your experience when you were searching for "The One"?
I'd been to five other stores beforehand with no success. I was feeling overwhelmed and indecisive before I came to The Sposa Group. Marianna helped me pick dresses that not only flattered me, but suited my personality as well. She paid careful attention to how I responded to each dress I tried on, and really helped me figure out what I truly wanted. When I finally found "The One" I couldn't have been happier!
Describe a favourite highlight or two from your wedding day.
Harry and I couldn't believe how stunning our wedding venue looked. Everything was so beautiful, from the flowers to the scenery. We also had an amazing time on the dance floor with all our closest friends!
Do you have any advice for couples currently planning their wedding?
Sweat the small stuff before your wedding, but let it all go on the day. No matter what goes wrong, nothing can ruin this wonderful day for you. If your guests can tell that you're happy, everyone else will be too, which makes for a really fun reception!
