How did you meet your spouse?
We both met while working at Ariens as part-time university students. After catching each other's eyes across the room and spending most of lunchtime in the office kitchen finding out how much we have in common, we started dating. Eight years later; we have explored different parts of the continents together; from Gold Coast and Cairns Australia to South Korea and China to Malaysia and Japan, we have felt more at home when we experience a new culture. Now we are best friends, true loves and badass partners in life. We finally made it official.

Tell us about your proposal
After our trip to the Cherry Hill Orchard Farm, Rick drove us to my favourite florist, and he asked me which bouquet of flowers I really liked. Unfortunately, the florist didn't have enough red roses at the time when I said I wanted to buy 520 roses (in Chinese 520 means "I love you"), so Rick only got 20 roses for me. After we arrived home, he just proposed to me using the red roses in front of our wedding neon sign.

Tell us about your wedding dress. How was your experience when you were searching for "The One"?
Love at first sight. The Sposa Group was the first bridal shop I have gone to since I started searching for a wedding dress in late February 2022. After I tried on this dress, I had the feeling that other dresses in the shop didn't suit at all. But since it was my first time bridal shopping, I need to confirm by booking another bridal shop. So I tried on 6 other dresses but nothing compared to the dress I was wearing at my first appointment with The Sposa Group. I booked the second appointment and my Mum came along, it was her first time seeing me in the wedding dress, she agreed that I made the right choice and paid for my dress. Can't believe it was so easy to find the perfect dress, first wedding dress I tried on with my best friends from high school Kim and Lily was "THE ONE".

Describe a favourite highlight or two from your wedding day.
Church Dismissal after the ceremony was amazing once the song "Can't Help Falling in Love" started playing. I knew I controlled my emotions without crying throughout the ceremony, the mission was completed. First Dance was also amazing, with low smoke and indoor fireworks when Rick and I were dancing.

Do you have any advice for couples currently planning their wedding?
Just enjoy yourself and let everything go with the flow on your wedding day if things don't work as planned. For example I forgot my 3 metre long veil in the dress bag at home and borrowed the makeup artist's backup veil.
Leave stress behind once you leave home/hotel/bridal suite, be yourself and stay confident! Love everyone around you, you are the star of your own wedding day.
