How did you meet your spouse?
Tim and I were setup by my best friend. We essentially went on a blind date, and from the moment we met we knew there was something special.
Tell us about your proposal
Tim and I were on holiday in Port Douglas. We were having a sunset picnic in a park, overlooking the ocean when Tim proposed!
Tell us about your wedding dress. How was your experience when you were searching for "The One"?
I knew what I wanted - modern, strapless, and elegant, but I was having trouble finding 'The One". I had been looking for a while before I came to Sposa. I described my vision to Vesna, and she suggested a dress and made some modifications to it while it was on me. I fell in love with it on the spot - I knew I'd found my dress!
Describe a favourite highlight or two from your wedding day.
Our vows and wedding speeches to each other were incredibly special. We kept them a secret, so hearing them for the first time on the day was amazing - it's not things we'd say day-to-day to each other. It made me think, "This is why we are here, this is why it's all worth it."
I also loved getting ready with my bridesmaids and mum. That was really fun and made me realise how lucky I am to be supported by such an amazing group of women.
Do you have any advice for couples currently planning their wedding?
Try not to get caught up in the stress of planning. The day goes by in such a blur, and you don't even notice all the little things you spent excruciating hours deciding on.
Take a moment on the day to soak it in and appreciate it how special it is to be surrounded by your favourite people - it really does go so quickly.
