How did you meet your spouse?
At a church small group (Bible study).
Tell us about your proposal
During our second year anniversary, Kristopher cooked my favourite dish for us and we had a picnic at the Alfred Nicholas Memorial Botanical Garden. We walked around for a bit afterwards and he proposed to me in front of the mini falls, overlooking a beautiful view at the bottom.
Tell us about your wedding dress. How was your experience when you were searching for "The One"?
My immediate thought was the dress must have sleeves and lace. I wasn't sure about the exact style, but as soon as I laid my eyes on the dress I said yes to, I just knew it had to be the one. It had beautiful 3D blush flowers on it and was also a ball gown. I felt like a Disney princess in it! Jas was very helpful and told us we could customise it. We added some sleeves and invisible mesh on the front and back, then added more lace on the back with buttons. It was perfect.
Describe a favourite highlight or two from your wedding day
Everything from start to finish was perfect, making it hard to choose a highlight. However if I had to pick one, I would say the moment we exchanged our vows and I do's. Then, of course, when we did our surprise bridal party song number for Kristopher.
Do you have any advice for couples currently planning their wedding?
For those currently planning their wedding, it's okay to stress but don't over-stress about it. I know you want everything to be perfect, but if some things don't go according to plan that's okay too. The most important thing is that you get to marry the love of your life and your big day will be amazing no matter what!
