How did you meet your spouse?
We met online! We both had no idea that a swipe right would turn into finding our soulmate.
Tell us about your proposal
We were travelling Australia and came across the most beautiful campsite north of Broome, overlooking the ocean from a cliff top. There were two baths set up and we watched the sun set with a drink. Andy went to top up my drink and as I looked down he was on one knee with the most gorgeous diamond ring!
Tell us about your wedding dress. How was your experience when you were searching for "The One"?
I knew exactly what I wanted, which turned out to be nothing like what I ended up choosing! Originally I thought that I wanted loads of beading, lace and sparkle. We found that in another dress from another boutique, but went ahead with my appointment at Sposa "just to compare." My mother in law picked out a classic Mikado style and as soon as I put it on, I knew it was "me." I bought it on the spot!
The girls in the boutique were so lovely and made the experience so positive. I'm so glad that I tried on something different to what I thought I wanted. My dressmaker from their alterations department also really listened to my concerns about the fit and went above and beyond.
Describe a favourite highlight or two from your wedding day.
Walking back down the aisle as husband and wife is a precious moment I will hold for the rest of my life. I felt so incredibly beautiful and loved as our friends and family cheered us on and showered us in confetti.
Do you have any advice for couples currently planning their wedding?
I highly recommend a wedding planner or on-the-day coordinator. I was a bit stressed about all the details but I could just completely relax and enjoy my day knowing that any questions or issues were taken care of by my planner.
