How did you meet your spouse?
At a family function when I was 12 and Dion was 15 years of age. We saw each other over the years and then eventually our love kindled.
Tell us about your proposal
We went for a relaxing stay at Crown Towers for Dion's birthday, as I admired the bunch of roses by the view little did I know I would turn around to Dion getting down on one knee. It was intimate and sweet just how I'd imagined it.
Tell us about your wedding dress. How was your experience when you were searching for "The One"?
Sposa was the first store I went to as it was recommended to me. I tried on my beautiful dress and my mum, sister and I had tears in our eyes. I ended up comparing other dresses from various boutiques to this dress at Sposa because who would of thought the first dress they tried on would be the one. I guess it was true, it was love at first sight and I came back to Sposa to work with the lovely team to turn it into my dream wedding dress and I couldn't be happier.
I had my eyes set on fit and flare, light material (33 degree day... phew) with lace and beading for elegance alongside a beautiful lace train with buttons down the back. It was everything I could ask for and more! Thank you so much Sposa team for making me feel like the most beautiful bride!
Describe a favourite highlight or two from your wedding day.
Watching Dion turn around to me as I walked down the aisle. Standing up at our bridal table hand in hand as we watched our guests dance, taking in the moment and seeing everything we planned fall into place so smoothly.
Do you have any advice for couples currently planning their wedding?
Don't worry about all the minor details, enjoy every moment and stay by each others' side because the day goes in a blink of an eye.
