How did you meet your spouse?
We met through work, we became friends first over our first year there (we started at the same time) but it then evolved into a relationship and now marriage.
Tell us about your proposal
Matthew asked me to marry him at the same location where he first asked me to be in a relationship. It was right at sunset, so beautiful!
Tell us about your wedding dress. How was your experience when you were searching for "The One"?
The first boutique I visited was The Sposa Group and I ended up buying the very first dress I tried on - not before trying on several more, visiting five other dress boutiques, and finally coming back to Sposa and ordering the one. I think I knew once I tried it on that it was the one, but I still wanted to look around just in case - nothing at all compared though!
Describe a favourite highlight or two from your wedding day.
Getting ready with my bridal party. Walking back up the aisle as a married couple and feeling overjoyed. Twirling around with my husband in my beautiful dress at sunset practicing our first dance (and nailing our dance when the time came!). Looking out from the bridal table and seeing all our favourite people having fun on our big day. So many highlights, I could go on and on!
Do you have any advice for couples currently planning their wedding?
Go with your gut feeling, don't overthink it and do things just because they're trendy or other people are telling you you should. It's your day!
