Maryanne wore Style 212-01 from the Divina Sposa Collection

How did you meet your spouse?
We met in November 2019 on Hinge. We had a blissful beginning to our relationship before the pandemic started. We were grateful to be able to spend weekends together during lockdown which gave us an incredible foundation for our relationship.
Tell us about your proposal
Mark proposed to me on the doorstep of our new home after we picked up the keys from the agent. It was a very happy-tears YES moment! Mark still says he wanted it to be a new beginning in the new home and for our relationship.

Tell us about your wedding dress. How was your experience when you were searching for "The One"?
I arrived at my appointment at Sposa Group with my mum and my sister/maid of honour. I was a little nervous because I thought I wouldn't find anything to try on. Being a curvy girl I wondered what my options would be, but I didn't need to worry, Sposa had an unbelievable range. After picking a few dresses to try, "The One" was the second dress I tried on. As soon as I saw myself in it, I knew it was absolutely the one! My BFF/bridesmaid was on FaceTime and her and my sister said "if Maryanne was a dress, this is the dress she'd be." I felt like a dream, a queen and a vision, everything everyone says you should feel. While standing in the dress, my consultant Corra realised that I had sent a screenshot of it as my inspiration. It was meant to be.

Describe a favourite highlight or two from your wedding day..
Seeing my husband at the end of the aisle was definitely a highlight, the look on his face told me I'd made the absolute right choice. Our first dance was another highlight, singing the words to our favourite song to each other was the perfect moment on our big day.

Do you have any advice for couples currently planning their wedding?
My advice is if time allows, do one thing at a time. Need to book a venue? Research/visit/book. Need a celebrant? Research/visit/book. Need a photographer? Research/visit/book. Need a dress? Go to The Sposa Group. My other piece of advice is set up a wedding email address. There are so many emails coming and going, best to keep everything together.
