How did you meet your spouse?
I meet my spouse 6 years ago, on a girls night out at a bar. He ‘claims’ that I was following him all night but the truth is he made the first move. Our relationship initially started as a friendship which blossomed into a beautiful relationship. Fast forward to now and we are the most happiest ever now that we are husband and wife!
Tell us about your proposal
Our first night in Singapore, we went to the restaurant on the top of Marina Bay Sands and then he took me down for a walk along the esplanade and he found this perfect spot where we had an incredible view of the hotel and he put his phone down to ‘take a photo’ but he was secretly recording and proposed then and there. It was the most special moment in my life!
Tell us about your wedding dress. How was your experience when you were searching for "The One"?
My wedding dress experience was an overwhelming one, as wedding planning in general really stressed me out. My partner and I decided to elope instead and it so happened that the dress I fell in love with at The Sposa Group fit perfectly and I was able to get it as a sample. I knew that dress was the one, given I was able to get it in the short timeframe I had to find a dress and it was the one I loved the most when trying on dresses!
Describe a favourite highlight or two from your wedding day.
My favourite highlight of my wedding day was walking down to the church and seeing the emotions on my husband's face. I’ve never seen him look more in love than he did when he saw me walking down towards him.
Do you have any advice for couples currently planning their wedding?
Advice I would give couples planning their wedding is to remember that it’s a day between you and your partner. Do what you want to do and not what outsiders are influencing you to do. At the end of the day, if everything was to go wrong, the most important thing to remember is that you found your soulmate and the person you want to spend the rest of your life with, and nothing else matters.
