How did you meet your spouse?
Adrian and I were best friends when we were younger and as time passed people tend to drift away from each other, well 12 or so years passed and our paths crossed again and it was such a beautiful start, simple but beautiful and our previous connection made this run very smoothly and quick as we didn't waist anytime.
Tell us about your proposal
Adrian proposed on October 15th 2017, we had breakfast at a 360Q in Queenscliff, we then caught the ferry across to Sorrento and I wasn't aware of anything at this time as we always visited beaches, and we ended up at the Sorrento Back Beach and we had a small picnic and I adore the beaches and I ended going to the water to put my feet in, and when I turned around and I was in shock as Adrian was on one knee and that's when he proposed.
Tell us about your wedding dress. How was your experience when you were searching for "the one"?
Well I was very lucky it didn't take long at all for me to find my wedding dress and i only visited one store, The Sposa Group located at 622-624 Glenferrie Rd, Hawthorn VIC 3122, I knew already what I wanted before I got there as I previously saw my dress the GENOVA by Atelier Marie Claire in a magazine at the wedding expo. I had a lot of my family with me on that day and I tried on two other dresses and left my original choice till last and when I tried on the GENOVA by Marie Claire I was instantly in love and that's the dress I chose and I didn't need to go anywhere else. My initial experience with Marianna from the The Sposa Group was a moment I wont forget, I met her at the wedding expo back in 2019 and I was very keen on the dress I saw on a magazine she had on her display ,she was run of her feet but it didn't stop her from finding the information I needed and chasing me down one of the aisles and I was ever so grateful . Also a mention to there beautiful store and staff members and how could I forget Leffy your a superstar with how you alter dresses.
Describe a favourite highlight or two from your wedding day
My favourite highlight was the church I was very lucky to secure the oldest Serbian orthodox church in Melbourne, Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, this was my favourite part of the day.
Do you have any advice for couples currently planning their wedding?
My advice for couples is, its a tough time for planning and it was also for me my original wedding date was October 11 ,2020 and there was a stress involved due to the pandemic and I almost gave up and I'm glad I didn't as it was everything I dreamed of and there was a lot of amazing people I met along the way, keep your head up and adjust if needed but don't settle.
