How did you meet your spouse?
We were family friends for such a long time! But it wasn't until we were older where we became best friends, and he became best friends with my then 3-year-old son (he's now 7). We all became inseparable.

Tell us about your proposal
I walked into the house we purchased and he had made a red rose petal walkway with lit candles that were Beauty and the Beast themed (my favourite movie!) They led to a red eternity rose with my ring in the middle of it.

Tell us about your wedding dress. How was your experience when you were searching for "The One"?
I originally was at Sposa trying on two different dresses and when I went back, I noticed another one that caught my eye. My mum flew down from interstate to help me. I tried on a beautiful Demetrios ball gown with a huge train and gorgeous lace and beading, and immediately we all fell in love, including the bridal stylists! We then put an overskirt over the ballgown, creating an even longer train, which made me feel like a true Disney Princess.

Describe a favourite highlight or two from your wedding day.
Cliche, I know, but walking down the isle and seeing my husband's face. That memory lasts forever and stays close to my heart. During the ceremony my husband knelt down and said vows to my son, and wow, there was not one dry eye in the room.

Do you have any advice for couples currently planning their wedding?
Enjoy it! Because you only get to go through this planning once. Yes, it's completely stressful, but it's also fun and exciting, so definitely focus on those elements.
