How did you meet your spouse?
Tinder! We matched and started chatting, then I deleted the app! I added it again a couple of months later and we matched again, and Tony cut to the chase and asked me on a date straight away.
Tell us about your proposal
It was on our four-year anniversary, and we decided to go for a picnic (something we used to do a lot in the early days of dating). We were sitting by a beautiful lake, and Tony had a speech prepared, but he was so nervous he completely forgot the whole thing! So he just said something short and sweet, and just got on one knee and proposed. I was in such shock and was so overjoyed, we just put the ring on and I forgot to say yes! A couple of minutes later Tony said "Wait, you didn't actually say yes?" And of course, I said "YES!"
Tell us about your wedding dress. How was your experience when you were searching for "The One"?
I had found a dress previously that I liked but I didn't feel 'special' or like a 'real bride', even though it was nice enough and was cheap. But then I went to The Sposa Group, and I actually spotted my dress on a mannequin as soon as I walked in the door and my jaw hit the floor. My consultant who helped me said not to try on the one I was crazy about first, which I thought was a good idea. I was secretly so eager and excited to get to my favorite. The second I saw it on me, I just knew it was so special, and I knew it was the one.
Describe a favourite highlight or two from your wedding day.
One of my favorite moments was actually just being introduced into the room as Mr and Mrs. The amount of love, smiles and applause from all of our closest friends and family; I was completely blown away.
Do you have any advice for couples currently planning their wedding?
Try not to sweat the small things and try to enjoy each stage and process of the planning. It can be stressful, and there will be bumps in the road, but all you can do is shrug it off and remember that at the end of the day, you are marrying the partner of your dreams and starting your life together.
