How did you meet your spouse?
We matched on Bumble in May 2021. From the first date we knew that we had both found something special.
Tell us about your proposal
We love travel. Road trips, airplanes, countless adventures already under our belt. For our third year anniversary we celebrated earlier due to business of events. We stayed at the Peninsula Springs Glamping for 2 nights. During dinner on the 1st night; James said he had lost his wallet. He left dinner for 10 minutes to go and check the car and tent; unbeknownst to myself he was setting up in our tent. He “found his wallet” and we had a delicious 4-course meal before making our way back to the tent. To my utter amazement the bed was covered with red rose petals, with a few bears holding a handmade love heart sign saying “Will You Marry Me” in the middle. By the time I realised what was happening, I spun around and James was on one knee.
Tell us about your wedding dress. How was your experience when you were searching for "The One"?
I had been to another shop and had a rather negative experience. The Sposa Group was No. 2 on our many stops of dress shopping. From the moment my mum and I walked in; the service, the decor, the kind and friendly staff; added to the whole experience. I thought I knew what I wanted from the age of five and I ended up doing a complete 180 with the dress I knew was the one. The Sposa Group went above and beyond. I miss the appointments. I truly felt like a Disney princess and all the staff (especially Marianna and Leffy), made my bridal dreams a reality.
Describe a favourite highlight or two from your wedding day.
Feeling on an absolute high surrounded by all the people we know and love, and feeling an immense amount of gratitude, love, and happiness.
Do you have any advice for couples currently planning their wedding?
Take it all in; try not to stress over the little things. It will all come together and become the absolute best day of your lives.
