How did you meet your spouse?
We met online! Turns out we are both from neighboring cities in Europe and lived around the corner from each other in Melbourne for over five years without ever meeting - until we did!

Tell us about your proposal
Mike and I were on a work trip in New York last October, and he decided to surprise me with a picnic in Central Park which is where he proposed. Two weeks later the two of us got hitched in Las Vegas, and then we had our reception in Melbourne with family and friends.

Tell us about your wedding dress. How was your experience when you were searching for "The One"?
Honestly, I had no idea what I wanted! I wasn’t too fussed about it either since we already had our wedding ceremony in Las Vegas last year, so I just wanted a dress that looked good for the reception. Sposa was the first bridal shop I visited and Marianna was exceptional. She made me try on about 15 dresses, until we found the style that suited me the most. Interestingly enough it wasn’t the type of dress I would think to try on, but Marianna insisted I try it on anyway and it was love at first sight! I didn’t even bother trying anything else on and ended up cutting all my other appointments short as I knew I found the one. I couldn't stop thinking about that dress!

Describe a favourite highlight or two from your wedding day
Slow dancing to “Can’t help falling in love” which was sung by our MC, who is an Elvis impersonator. We weren’t planning on slow dancing at all, and the MC wasn’t meant to sing that song, so it was completely spontaneous but extra special because this was the song I walked down the aisle to last year when we got hitched in Vegas. Funnily enough it was also sung by an Elvis impersonator! So it felt like a nice full circle, since no one was there when we initially got married and now we were able to share that moment with our closest people.

Do you have any advice for couples currently planning their wedding?
For the bride - make sure your dress not only looks good but it’s comfortable, so you can dance and move around easily in it on the day - that way you will feel more confident and have more fun.
For the groom - your fiancé is probably going to be extra stressed during this time when wedding planning, so be extra loving and patient with her! And after it’s all done, she will be so grateful to you, and all your patience will return to you tenfold as gratitude and more!
